English Issue 3-4/2024
Maybe, like me, you’ve stepped out of the contemplative Holy Nights season feeling a bit reluctant to part with the warmth and hope we experienced during those quiet days. The world’s challenges have not gone away—climate change, war, and serious questions about our use of technology and social media didn’t get resolved during the break. The world feels poised somewhat precariously for a challenging new year. Remarkably, what has changed for me is my attitude. I return refreshed by the pause, like I am by the night—it’s a renewal that allows me to re-contextualize situations, both personal and global, opening me to new possibilities. I am grateful to our authors in this issue, who offer their thoughts on these world challenges, infusing them with fresh perspectives and language that help us re-engage in the year, reinvigorated.

The warming of the Earth's atmosphere is causing the winds to blow more strongly, which is reflected in the currents of the world's oceans, on the surface and - as has recently been discovered - in the deep sea. Thus, climate change not only means a change in the air body of the earth, but also in its fluid organism, a change not only in its thermal organization, but also in its flow life.
