A Brick and Mortar SteinerBooks Store

SteinerBooks, the publishing house for Rudolf Steiner’s works in the United States, has just opened a new bookstore at their headquarters in Spencertown, New York.

The Anthroposophic Press, or ‹SteinerBooks›, is, aside from the Anthroposophical Society itself, the oldest anthroposophical organization in the United States, having been established in 1928. Today, it resides in the Hudson River Valley. SteinerBooks is in the middle of the ‹Collected Works of Rudolf Steiner in English› project, which was started in 2006 by the then-editors, Gene Gollogly and Christopher Bamford. Since 2020, John-Scott Legg has been the Managing Director and has continued the project. The bookstore holds the fruits of this project, as well as the full range of other books in the Press’ catalogue, including those by premier anthroposophical authors, a number of children’s titles, and books from SteinerBooks’ partner organizations, Floris Books and Tri-Fold Books. The new space will also hold future events hosted by the press. Stop by when you’re around!
