On August 12, 2026, a major celestial event invites us to engage in both outer and inner perception. It is the solar eclipse, whose umbra will travel from Siberia, through Reykjavik, to northern Spain. Much like sunlight, our perception enters the world and enables us to engage with it. And what do we perceive when the light of day is taken away? The “dark side of the sun” was once accessible only to the initiated. Today, perhaps we can all gain some insight into the “other side” of our perception.
