English Issue 47/2024
Picking a bouquet of flowers can be the simplest aesthetic experience: a willingness for beauty and a sense of participating in its becoming. Something in this feels deeply human. In this issue, artists and cultural practitioners explore how art can transform us and the opportunities it offers to meet the challenges of our time. And in an extraordinary project at the Goetheanum, Question! Encounter! Play! young people from around the world, some with immigrant and refugee experiences, come to make art together through theater. The question that guides the event is: where does one find the strength to give meaning to one’s own life? The project, now in its fourth year, is an artistic and biographical workspace that holds rich treasures. And finally, we asked three of our authors in the USA to offer their response the recent elections.
