Who doesn’t hear the call of the world? The suffering and threats that are becoming more and more shrill, but also the small birds on our doorstep: they all call to us. Over and above all projects, undertakings, militant actions, and to-do lists, this call is addressed to our hearts. It calls us to a spiritual transformation. And this transformation, which affects us intimately, always knocks us out of ourselves. Because beyond exercises, methods, discipline, and meditation, one thing is essential, fundamental, and invaluable for truly expanding our vision: the love we can give and cultivate.
