We find it in Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and in Käthe Kollwitz’s Portrait of the Sleeping Child: we see one woman or one child, and at the same time, Da Vinci and Kollwitz manage to bring all the feminine and childlike qualities of Earth onto the canvas. The cosmos manifests in the individuality, and, in individuality, there is no enhancement: idea and detail, humankind and human, heaven and earth celebrate a marriage. The concept of “agricultural” individuality has many facets. This is what we discuss in this issue of the Weekly as we continue to celebrate the 100th anniversary of anthroposophical agriculture with excerpts from the lectures at the Agriculture Conference in Dornach.
