Zeist, Netherlands. Online course on The Six Basic Exercises.
Just as we work out to train our muscles and flexibility, we can cultivate focused thinking, conscious action, and empathetic feeling through specific exercises. Rudolf Steiner’s Six Basic Exercises serve as a form of fitness for the soul, capable of exerting a strengthening and harmonizing effect on one’s entire being. Across five online sessions running from September 14 to January 4, Bart Vanmechelen—co-leader at the Section for Curative Education and Social Development at the Goetheanum—offers a space for participants to engage deeply with these exercises. The goal is to gain a better understanding of oneself and to draw self-confidence from that insight. The course goes beyond the surface, delving into the source of the forces at work within us so that we may learn to relate to them consciously. It is open to anyone interested.
