Value-oriented companies like Weleda, says Chairman of the Board of Directors, Thomas Jorberg, often have a problem: they mistakenly associate their values with their organizational structures and procedures. All anthroposophical companies aspire to be value-oriented and are therefore affected by this confusion to varying degrees. People often perceive actual value in forms and practices, as if Lazure painted rooms, silk veils, or a quote were inherently “anthroposophical.” A time of upheaval calls for distinguishing between form and value so that we can be free in our forms and steadfast in our values. In this way we remain true to ourselves while also remaining flexible.
