Deserts constitute one-third of the Earth’s land area, and these vegetation-free regions are expanding. It is therefore important and encouraging that successful concepts exist for greening deserts and returning areas that have been stripped of nature back into the cycle of life. And it is surprising how nature responds to such care and the extent to which landscapes change.
