“A healthy social life is found […] when […] in the whole community, the virtue of each individual is living.” This is part of Rudolf Steiner’s social motto. With the completion of the Gesamtausgabe (GA) [Collected Works (CW)], everything is in place for the soul of this modern-day initiate to live within the community. Now it is up to us—to you, dear reader—to breathe new life into what has been handed down as written and spoken words in these 450 books. It is fitting that we celebrate this completion during the Easter season—for Steiner’s words die as printed characters and rise again whenever we pick up one of the 450 volumes in the Collected Works, open it, read it, and enter into “conversation with the author”; this is how Rudolf Steiner himself described the act of reading his writing.
