The dying and death of a loved one requires a delicate approach, both to do justice to the person who is leaving and to attend to the needs of the bereaved. On October 19, the American Christian Community is organizing an online workshop on the topic of death and burial. It will be led by Ann-Elizabeth Barnes, who has been guiding relatives through the grieving and funeral process for two decades. In the workshop, participants will be introduced to the sacredness of dying so that they can provide spiritual and emotional support to loved ones and themselves in this threshold state. They will also learn practical knowledge about self-efficacy in making living wills, arranging a wake at home, preparing the body, and working with funeral directors. The two-hour seminar will be held in English.
