Montezillon, Switzerland. The Alma Humana! Conference: The Anthroposophical Society as Resurrection Body with Marc Desaules.
What spiritual foundations can guide social life in our time? Marc Desaules explores the cosmopolitan impulse of the 1923/24 Christmas Conference as an archetype for building communities. Rudolf Steiner not only renewed the Anthroposophical Society at that turning point but also laid the foundation for a new form of governance—one that takes into account the spiritual world beyond the threshold. This gesture continues to resonate as a model for social forms. Marc Desaules, trained physicist and longtime entrepreneur, brings decades of experience in cooperative and anthroposophical initiatives. He is the founder of L’Aubier—a Demeter farm, store, restaurant, eco-hotel, eco-housing, and youth entrepreneur program in associative economics in Switzerland, and has served for many years as general secretary and treasurer of the Anthroposophical Society in Switzerland. Marc Desaules is one of the people sharing their knowledge at Alma Humana! The multilingual conference will take place at the Goetheanum from July 23 to 27, 2025.
