Córdoba, Argentina. Moved by the medical conference: Mónica Virginia Olivero, a doctor from Argentina.
This was my first time attending the Annual Conference of the Medical Section. I came with great anticipation to deepen the theme of therapeutic intuition and to meet medical and therapeutic colleagues. Of all the things I experienced at the conference, I would like to highlight the multi-professional workshop led by physician Carmen Hering and nurse Elizabeth Sustick. It was a working group in which we practiced together developing diagnostic and therapeutic intuition through the physical examination of patients with the senses of sight, hearing, and touch. We deepened the importance of a non-judgmental, respectful, and humble encounter in order to calmly receive the signals that reveal the vital signs of the other person and thus awaken compassion. The hand washing and the essential oil compresses were a gift for the consciousness and the soul—a sublime experience. I returned home full of new insights, with new friendships from different countries, and with deep gratitude for what I had experienced. – Mónica Virginia Olivero
