The beginning of a new year gives us the chance to ask what we want to be new. This doesn’t just apply to each of us as solo individuals, because our souls are connected to each other and to the world. So it’s important that we really understand each other. “When dialogue is no longer possible, people start killing each other,” writes Dominic Barter. He calls himself a “student of dialogue.” When Europe suddenly finds itself back in the midst of rearmament and the dictatorship of simplification offers us a life in black and white, the power of speaking and listening together is a good New Year’s wish.
