Ontario, Canada. An online course on indigenous culture and Waldorf education.
Hawi is a Canada-based consulting firm whose work is inspired by the indigenous Haudenosaunee Confederacy and Waldorf education. It offers continuing education courses for educators that provide an approach to educational work that combines both indigenous and Waldorf educational perspectives. The company offers an online course called “Reconciliation Pathway,” which participants can take at their own pace. In ten modules, they learn about the history, legislation, and culture of the Haudenosaunee and how to integrate this knowledge into the Waldorf curriculum. The course enables teachers to actively contribute to the inclusion of indigenous realities in Canadian society and thus counteract the division between cultures and their worldviews.
