An Online Meeting in Honor of Truus Geraets
On October 4, Dutch eurythmy therapist and co-founder of the World Social Initiative Forum, Truus Geraets, died at the age of 93. Geraets grew up under German occupation in World War II. She completed her curative education training in Germany and eurythmy and therapeutic eurythmy training at the Goetheanum and then led a nomadic life between South Africa, the USA, Germany, and the Netherlands, where she worked therapeutically with children from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Shortly before her death, Geraets and her family developed the idea of an international peace meeting where those who were touched by her being and work can remember her together. The meeting will take place online on the first Sunday of Advent (December 3). Geraets’ family invites all who are interested to participate in the organization of the meeting and to contact them in this regard.
