Consciously accepting and shaping the transitions between phases of life.
From October 27th to 29th, an international conference on the topic of threshold situations in life will take place in the Slovakian capital of Bratislava. Along with anthroposophical doctors, psychologists, and pastoral care workers from the Christian Community, participants are invited to consider the great moments of life—birth and death. This means not only physical birth and death but also all the moments in life when something old in us or in our environment dies and makes room for something new. The conference is guided by the question of how we can consciously face such threshold situations and shape them with acceptance and trust. The lectures and working groups will address, among other things, spiritual processes and rituals related to birth and death, meditation, becoming and being a parent, and moments of crisis in adolescence.
