Regenerative Agriculture for a Healthy Climate
The next United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) is taking place in the United Arab Emirates from November 30 to December 12. The Egyptian Demeter organizations Sekem and the Egyptian Biodynamic Association will be present again this year. Sekem will be hosting its own pavilion at the event, where it will offer interactive presentations, discussions, and workshops. The thematic focus will be on the climate-positive opportunities of regenerative agriculture and its products. The aim is to expand political and financial support for regenerative forms of food cultivation and animal husbandry and thus promote their large-scale dissemination. Successful agricultural initiatives from India, Sri Lanka, and other countries will be presented. In addition, there will be many opportunities for farmers to exchange ideas and learn from each other.
