Anthroposophy-Based Psychotherapy

Stuttgart, Germany. A new foundations course starting in the fall.

The understanding of illness and the therapeutic interventions of anthroposophy-based psychotherapy (AbP) are based on the foundations of anthroposophy. This therapeutic approach was developed by Markus Treichler and Johannes Reiner, based on Rudolf Steiner’s anthropology and psychology. Treichler and Reiner, both psychiatrists and psychotherapists, have supplemented the psychopathology and therapeutic approach with their many years of practical experience, in a way that is compatible with other concepts and open to further development. As a form of existing anthroposophical psychotherapy, AbP according to Treichler and Reiner, has concretized it in a way that is suitable for application. From September 2024 to April 2025, an advanced training course on AbP will take place in seven modules at the Rudolf Steiner House in Stuttgart. The course, to be held in German, was organized by the Institut für Anthroposophie-basierte Psychotherapie (Institute for Anthroposophy-based Psychotherapy), and is aimed at medical and psychotherapeutic professionals who wish to learn how to expand their therapeutic spectrum.
