Blagoe Delo is a non-profit organization that offers arts and crafts courses for people with assistance needs. In our workshops, we work with wood, ceramics, paper, textiles, and wool. We also organize inclusive festivals, educational seminars, and conferences with the aim of enabling people with assistance needs to live more independent lives. Our guiding principle is that people with intellectual disabilities are, in some ways, more harmonious than we are. They are less under the pressure of mental imprinting. Sometimes, we think too much, overthink and overanalyze. We forget that the highest values are love, friendship, and communication with others. For people with intellectual disabilities, this truth is not overshadowed by reason. They remind us of what is really important. The conference in Dornach brought together thousands of people from all over the world. At the meeting, we were able to share our experiences, inspiration, and visions for the future. The circumstances of our lives are diverse, and yet we have the same roots and the same view of humanity. These encounters give me the strength to continue with my work.
