Harlemville, New York. Gathering of the North American Youth Section.
Young people in particular are meeting more and more in digital rather than analog spaces. This makes opportunities where they can come together in the same place and intentionally spend time together all the more important. From August 6 to 10, 2025, the North American Youth Section is hosting its annual festival. This year, it will take place at the biodynamic Hawthorne Valley Farm. The name of the gathering, “The Light Between,” says it all: the intention of the event is to bring young people together and discover what connects them in the interpersonal space, rather than focusing on what divides them. Through discussions and workshops on spiritual topics and life issues, as well as through movement, music, and art, a community emerges that continues to grow even after the meeting has ended. This year’s speakers include spiritual teacher and peace advocate Orland Bishop. The conference will be held in English and is intended for individuals aged 17 to 35.
