Alanya, Turkey. Steiner100 exhibition: Words from Waldorf teacher Beril Ünal.
As a Waldorf teacher, the first time I painted with children using watercolors, I realized I had begun my journey into anthroposophic art. Over time, witnessing how colors and watercolors could unlock the hidden doors within individuals deeply moved me, and the idea of finding healing for the soul through this process excited me. Experiencing the healing power of joy through eurythmy, rhythm, and play in the art of education became a source of inspiration for me. Trying to support myself and others through these means has been a guiding force in my path. The wisdom within human existence, as taught by Steiner, trust in the Creator, and the reflection of freedom through art are like a few crystals I carry with me. Steiner’s multifaceted thoughts guide me towards nature-inspired imagery when I paint, encouraging me to express these through colors and symbols. In my creative process, I base my approach on flexibility and allowing time, trusting in the flow of creation as I continue my journey.

Wow another wonderful insight from another Turkish teacher ..
how lucky those children are who are exposed to such guiding souls!
