When it gets cooler and darker outside in our part of the world, it’s time for candles and hot tea. The impressions from summer within us are transformed into warmth that can carry us through winter. With the proper distance, warmth is transformed into a steady glow. That is what this issue is about: the warmth in a flame, in a bee colony, in muscles, in thought, and in the soul. The Natural Science Section dedicated its annual conference to the essence that keeps everything in balance.
