Potsdam, Germany. A conference on climate-transformative practice in social institutions.
On November 7 and 8, 2025, the anthroposophically inspired pedagogical center of the Mäander Academy is organizing a German-language conference on climate transformation in social institutions. The conference program will feature informative lectures and workshops on nutrition, energy, promotion, financing, consumption, and waste management. The overarching question is: how can the process of climate transformation be shaped in social institutions? Concrete steps towards socio-ecological transformation will be developed interactively and creatively in small groups. In this context, the Mäander Academy will offer a tangible case study. Before dividing into working groups, the participants of the conference will gain an insight into the climate transformation of the institution from a realistic perspective: what works well and what works less well? The program will conclude with an art performance that deals with climate justice in the context of global power structures.
