Georg Gölzer was born in Tehran in 1940 to German parents and spent his youth in Melbourne, Australia. He went on to work in special education in Switzerland. In 1977, he was appointed to the Anthroposophical Study Year at the Goetheanum in Dornach, which he directed from 1980 to 1999. He has published numerous books on Christology and cosmology.
