In this issue, a final reflection on the 100th anniversary of Rudolf Steiner’s death awaits you. Who was this man? Through her work on his biography, Martina Maria Sam got closer to him than almost anyone. She experienced him in the historical accounts of his life as a developing person caught between self-doubt and joie de vivre. A question arose in conversation with her: Is a new closeness to Steiner and also to anthroposophy possible through the path of life, not through his works? A hint: there are two possible paths. Nevertheless, Steiner’s “initiations” definitely help us understand our own steps, his struggles comfort us in our struggles, and his life opens up a different approach to his works.
