This question was the departure point for the film project \u201cCrian\u00e7as e \u00c1rvores\u201d (\u201dChildren and Trees\u201d), which involved 35 pedagogues from Waldorf kindergartens across Brazil. Over the course of two years, they gathered observations and impressions using the Goethean phenomenological method\u2014an approach which had them pausing, tuning out the noise of daily pedagogical routines, and fully turning their attention to the phenomenon of child and tree, without the urge to immediately explain or categorize. For the participating pedagogues, the project became a profound personal experience. In the half-hour documentary, Renata Meirelles and David V\u00ealuz capture both the children climbing and the adults\u2019 evolving perspective. The project was supported by the Mahle Foundation.
