They called themselves the Threefold Group. Their goal was to establish a community whose structures and work were inspired by the ideas of Rudolf Steiner. This year, the Threefold Community celebrates its 100th anniversary. Its self-definition remains that of a living laboratory where Steiner’s ideas are put into practice. The grounds surrounding the original farm are now home to a variety of initiatives: a food cooperative, the Green Meadow Waldorf School with its kindergarten, the Spring Valley Eurythmy School, a café, a library, and many other facilities. From April 30 to May 3, 2026, the community will hold a four-day festival to celebrate its anniversary, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the place, the people, and the work of Threefold. The program is interactive and provides a practical impression of what life is like in the community.

More Threefold

Translation Paula Boslau
Image Andrew Knechel

Chestnut Ridge, USA.
