{"id":69576,"date":"2026-01-15T08:10:00","date_gmt":"2026-01-15T07:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dasgoetheanum.com\/?p=69576"},"modified":"2026-01-16T12:54:22","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T11:54:22","slug":"a-visual-journey-through-the-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dasgoetheanum.com\/en\/a-visual-journey-through-the-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"A Visual Journey Through the Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>What is expected of sustainable development today?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The term \u201csustainability\u201d has been around for a while, and as the world has changed and will continue to change, the term \u201csustainable development\u201d might need to be updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the World Goetheanum Forum in Sekem, Egypt, over 150 participants from all over the world convened to address the question \u201cHow can we re-think, re-feel, and re-do sustainable development?\u201d The question was explored in various workshops, plenaries, artistic and musical explorations, as well as on-site and hands-on excursions, which resulted in the creation of a first draft of a new narrative for sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My job was to visually record and harvest our collective journey throughout those days. Important points that came up when re-thinking, re-feeling, and re-doing sustainable development were, amongst others:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>consciousness and the inner dimension of self, including the spiritual aspect of the source<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the importance of community and co-creation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the need to hospice dying elders and to decolonize, including the need to feel the pain when looking out into the world<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the recognition of the more-than-human world<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>education and appropriate action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow alignwide\" data-autoplay=\"true\" data-delay=\"5\" data-effect=\"fade\"><div
