Floating atop the abyss
Surrounded by beasts of prey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What if we do not look back\u2026
To former times of laughter and pain
Those times are gone now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What if we do not look ahead\u2026
To future times of sadness and joy
Those times are not meant for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What if we stay here\u2026
What if we turn this frozen moment in time
Into a pearl of living poetry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you feel it?
Your beating heart.
Gentle at first
Yet growing stronger
Like a huge drum
With each beat it crumbles mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you hear it?
An inner scream.
Soft at first
Yet growing louder
Like a fiery furnace
With each flame it burns entire forests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you taste it?
A salty tear.
Shallow at first
Yet growing deeper
Like a bottomless pit
With each drop it drowns even oceans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you sense it?
The air from other worlds.
Light at first
And growing lighter still.
A spiritual substance penetrating you
Bestowing peace through grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stay here\u2026
Breathe in the air
