The situation becomes intensified when working with community members that have challenging support needs or come from marginalized or traumatized backgrounds. This course will explore the tool of the biographical timeline, as well as a number of social therapeutic activities, in order to strengthen our capacities to engage with these difficult moments. The course is led by Dr. Beth Barol, who has spent the last 46 years serving and supporting people with intellectual and developmental difficulties who also have challenging behaviors and co-occuring mental health issues.
