{"id":40334,"date":"2022-09-29T18:28:08","date_gmt":"2022-09-29T16:28:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dasgoetheanum.com\/?p=40334"},"modified":"2022-10-01T17:52:21","modified_gmt":"2022-10-01T15:52:21","slug":"gott-lives-in-dance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dasgoetheanum.com\/en\/gott-lives-in-dance\/","title":{"rendered":"God Lives in Dance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Recently a friend sent me a poem, the religious hymn \u2039Lord of the Dance\u203a by Sydney Carter (The United Methodist Hymnal, No. 261):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>In it, the Logos speaks about itself as the God of dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-default has-medium-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I danced in the morning<br>When the world began,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a God so great that the course of the stars is only an expression of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-medium-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>And I danced in the moon<br>And the stars and the sun,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>His descent has made earthly creatures a part of his dance and Earth has become a place for him to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-medium-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>And I came down from heaven<br>And I danced on the earth,<br>At Bethlehem I had my birth.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>I was immediately touched by the fact that God does not appear cautious and static, but dynamic and everlasting. There is something wildly free about this God&#8217;s love for humankind.
